FAQ · أسئلة شائعة

Common questions.

Answers to the questions patients and clinicians ask most about drawing up, injecting, and handling Gojaro. If your question isn't answered here, speak with your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.

Air bubbles
What if I see air bubbles in the syringe after I have drawn up my dose?
+
Small air bubbles are common and generally not harmful. If you see a large air bubble, gently tap the syringe to bring the bubble to the top, then slowly push the plunger up to remove the air. Make sure you still have the correct dose in the syringe before injecting.
Incomplete draw
What if I cannot draw up the full dose from the vial?
+
Each Gojaro vial contains slightly more medicine than the labelled dose to allow for the dose to be drawn up correctly. If you have trouble drawing up the full prescribed dose, do not use a second vial to make up the difference. Contact your healthcare provider or pharmacist.
Overdose / underdose
What if I inject too much (overdose) or too little Gojaro?
+
If you think you have injected too much or too little Gojaro, contact your healthcare provider for advice.
Device problems
What if I have problems using the vial, syringe, or needles?
+
If you have any questions or problems using Gojaro, talk to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
Storage change
How long can I keep an unopened vial at room temperature?
+
If needed, an unopened vial may be stored at room temperature (below 30°C) for up to 21 days. Once removed from the refrigerator and stored at room temperature, do not return it to the refrigerator. Discard the vial if not used within 21 days.
Missed sharps container
What if I do not have a sharps disposal container?
+
You may use a household container that is made of heavy-duty plastic, closable with a tight-fitting, puncture-resistant lid, upright and stable, leak-resistant, and properly labelled to warn of hazardous waste. Follow your local guidelines for disposal when the container is nearly full.
Frequency reminder
How often is Gojaro injected?
+
Use Gojaro one time a week, on the same day each week. Choose a day that works for your routine and mark it in the medicine calendar included in the leaflet.
Injection site
Where can I inject Gojaro?
+
You (or another person) may inject Gojaro into your thigh or abdomen (at least 5 cm from the belly button). Another person may also give the injection in the back of your upper arm. Change your injection site each week. You may use the same area, but choose a different site within that area.
